Interested in spending less on your household expenses?

The Energy Smart Colorado (ESC) program is available to all households. It provides you with a home energy assessment and the ability to apply for rebates from local utilities for eligible home improvements.

Sign up below for an Energy Smart Colorado home energy assessment to find affordable ways to make your home more comfortable while reducing your utility bills. In addition to a personalized report of recommended improvements for your home, free “quick fixes” will be provided to qualifying households to present immediate energy savings.

Renters and homeowners both qualify.

An energy assessment is priced at $500 to homes no larger than 3,000 sqft.

Town of Crested Butte

GCEA Service Area

Home energy assessments in the GCEA service area are available at a discounted $50 / per household due to a Tri-State Generation and Transmission and Gunnison County Electric Association (GCEA) combined subsidy as long as all utility numbers have been provided. The value of the assessment is $500.

  • As part of the assessment, homeowners may receive recommended free “quick-fix” installs for energy saving measures = such as LED lightbulbs, water saving devices, programmable thermostats, pipe insulation, or weatherstripping.

Gunnison Electric Service Area

In partnership with the City of Gunnison we are offering energy assessments at a cost of $50 to households in the Gunnison Electric service area as long as all utility numbers are provided. The assessment is valued at $500.

  • Homeowners heating their homes through Atmos Energy may receive recommended free “quick-fix” installs for energy saving measures = such as water saving devices, programmable thermostats, pipe insulation, weatherstripping, and more.

Energy Smart Colorado Rebate Opportunity

Cut down on drafts and lower energy bills with insulation and air sealing upgrades.

If your household earns up to 150% of the Area Median Income or you are live in a deed-restricted home, you may qualify for up to $2,000 in rebates to make your home more comfortable and energy-efficient.
