Retiree finds Comfort and Care

Debbie Vitulli has found greater peace of mind in her new Gunnison home. A recent retiree, she was referred to GV-HEAT through Gunnison County HHS shortly after moving here. With her first Gunnison winter approaching and living on a fixed income, she wanted to make sure her home was energy efficient.

Several key improvements, performed through the CARE program, stood out to Debbie—insulation added behind her washer and dryer, insulated pipes in the crawlspace, and added venting in her bathroom door. Drafts that once crept in around her fireplace are now gone, and the entire home feels much warmer.
