GreenDeed Energy Efficiency Upgrade Program for Deed-Restricted Residences in Crested Butte and Mt. Crested Butte

Could your deed-restricted home be more comfortable and energy efficient? The Towns of Mt. Crested Butte and Crested Butte are seeking deed-restricted property owners to participate in the GreenDeed program. GreenDeed covers the cost of energy assessments and full energy efficiency upgrades for deed-restricted residences in Crested Butte and Mt. Crested Butte. Energy efficiency upgrades can range from lightbulb changes, to air-sealing, to insulation upgrades. The cost to participate in the program is $50, which will be paid towards the assessment. After that, the program will cover the remainder of the assessment, report, and upgrade costs for each home, up to $5,000.

Applications for the GreenDeed Energy Efficiency Upgrade Program are being accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. The Town of Mt. Crested Butte will be accepting 10-15 applications, and the Town of Crested Butte will be accepting 18 applications for 2025. Additional interested parties will be added to the waitlist.
