The Housing Authority has several missions: to help people obtain safe, decent, energy-efficient rental and for-sale housing, and to guide prospective homeowners and current residents to home-buyer counseling and mortgage loan products.

Creating a personal or household budget is a good exercise in deciding whether you are ready to make the commitment to leap from rental housing to qualifying for a mortgage loan.  The lenders listed below can help you pre-qualify as a buyer, so you may better purchase housing appropriate for you.
